Ingredients

  • 1 oz tequila
  • 1/2 oz triple sec
  • Clamato juice (tomato-clam juice)
  • Cholula hot sauce (to taste)
  • The juice of 1 lime
  • 1 bottle Modelo beer (or any Mexican lager)
  • Tajin (for rimming the glass)
  • Ice cubes
  • Additional lime wedges for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rim the Glass:
    • Take a lime wedge and run it around the rim of your glass to moisten it.
    • Dip the rim in Tajin to coat it.
  2. Mix the Cocktail:
    • Fill the glass halfway with ice cubes.
    • Add tequila and triple sec.
    • Squeeze in the juice of one lime.
    • Pour in Clamato juice to fill about a third of the glass.
    • Add a few dashes of Cholula hot sauce to taste. You can make it as mild or as spicy as you like.
  3. Add the Beer:
    • Slowly top up the glass with Modelo beer. The beer will mix with the other ingredients as it pours. Leave a little room at the top to stir.
  4. Garnish and Serve:
    • Gently stir to combine all the ingredients.
    • Garnish with a wedge of lime on the rim of the glass.
    • Serve immediately and enjoy the refreshing mix of spicy, savory, and tangy flavors.
