Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1/2 cup Duke’s mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika or 1 tbsp chopped fresh dill/chives (optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix the Base: In a medium bowl, whisk together the Duke’s mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and yellow mustard until fully combined.
  2. Sweeten: Add the honey to the mixture and whisk again until the honey is well incorporated and the mixture is smooth.
  3. Add Flavor and Spice: Stir in the apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, paprika, and smoked paprika or fresh herbs (if using). Mix well to ensure all the spices are evenly distributed.
  4. Season: Add salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Adjust the seasoning, adding more honey or mustard according to your preference.
  5. Combine: Once all ingredients are well mixed, give the dressing a final stir to ensure everything is well blended.
  6. Chill and Serve: Transfer the dressing to an airtight container and refrigerate for at least an hour before serving to let the flavors meld.
  7. Enjoy: Serve this honey mustard dressing over a crisp garden salad, as a dipping sauce for chicken tenders, or drizzled over grilled vegetables.

Notes

Cleveland variation: use stadium mustard instead of Dijon
