Ingredients for Chipotle Aioli:

- 1–2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
Instructions
- Prepare the artichokes by draining them and cutting them in half. Place the halves cut side down on a paper towel-lined cookie sheet. If necessary, create several layers, sprinkling each layer with salt.
- Allow the artichokes to drain overnight in the refrigerator to remove excess moisture.
- In a bowl, mix together the bread crumbs, panko, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, lemon pepper, and smoked paprika.
- Preheat your frying oil to 350°F (175°C) in a deep fryer or a deep pot.
- Dip each artichoke half into the egg wash, ensuring it’s fully coated, then dredge it in the seasoned breadcrumb mixture.
- Carefully place the breaded artichokes into the hot oil and fry until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Once fried, remove the artichokes from the oil and immediately sprinkle them with salt. Place them on a wire rack or paper towels to drain.
- For the chipotle aioli, blend the mayonnaise and chipotle peppers in a food processor until smooth.
- Arrange the fried artichokes on a serving platter and serve with the chipotle aioli for dipping.
