Ingredients

  • Hot dogs
  • Sliced cheddar cheese
  • Bacon strips
  • Flour tortillas (small size)
  • Optional: condiments for dip
  • Zombie Dust Beer Cheese for dipping

Instructions

  1. Prep the Ingredients:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C), or if you prefer to fry, get your frying oil ready.
    • Cook the bacon strips until they’re just crispy enough to roll without breaking. Set aside to cool, then crumble or chop into small pieces.
  2. Assemble the Taquitos:
    • Lay out the flour tortillas on a flat surface.
    • Place a hot dog on each tortilla.
    • Add a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each hot dog.
    • Sprinkle the crumbled bacon over the cheddar cheese.
  3. Roll the Taquitos:
    • Carefully roll the tortillas tightly around the hot dog and cheese, securing them with a toothpick if needed to keep them rolled.
  4. Cook the Taquitos:
    • For baking: Place the taquitos seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes or until the tortillas are crispy and golden brown.
    • For frying: Heat oil in a deep fryer or a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C). Fry the taquitos until they are golden brown and crispy, then remove them to a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
  5. Serve:
    • Serve the hot dog taquitos warm, with your choice of dipping sauces on the side.
